<media:text>Major manufacturers and builders use all kinds of complicated and sophisticated machinery to get whatever their task at hand is to completion. But who makes the parts that make up these magnificent machines? Like, this part happens to break, where do you go to get another one of these? Or one of these? Or these? Or these? Where are you going to go? Advanced quality water jet is where you go. These guys have the fancy equipment and the know-how to precisely -- and i mean precisely -- within 20 thousandths of an inch create any metal part or piece you can dream up. Look at everyone's fancy little nameplates. My son's title. Water jet ninja. I like it. Tom scroggin is the boss around here. He and jeff along with a handful of fellow employees supply custom parts to companies and individuals around the world. These powerful machines shoot water and fine bits of ground garnet at 50,000 pounds of pressure per square inch at hundreds of miles per hour. They have the capability of cutting through solid steel up to seven inches thick. What is that for? >> I have no idea. >>Dave: the advantage to this type of cutting as opposed to, say, a blow torch or blade is there's no heat, no risk of environmentally friendly. Much of what is left over is recyclable. >> What the brown stuff is like steel filings and garnet and steel obliterated by the cutting process. You also have this nice red dirt, which is actually recyclable in the new cutting. >>Dave: the precision cutting allows for fine ormtal work as well. World-renown sculptor brad howell commissions them for many of his pieces. Sometimes it's down right unusual. For example, the day a guy brought in an actual meteorite found in brazil. >> It was 80% nickel and a lot of other elements. But it was primary nickel and we were able to cut that. >>Dave: i decided to put my son's capabilities to the test. Make me one of those fancy nameplates. Well, he went right to it, creating the design, programming it into the computer, and within no time -- >> look at this. My name! check that out. >>Dave: so thanks for the informative tour, jeff and thanks to you, tom, for giving my son a job and most of all, thanks for the really cool nameplate. Huh? >>Cyndi: that's a good use of a psychology degree. >>Dave: who cares. Look at the stuff he's doing. Their work is in big demand. Don't you wish you had one? >>Cyndi: i really do. >>Dave: i'm so special that i have this nameplate. >>Cyndi: you certainly are. Very ivory paste, beautiful >>Dave: here is the piece they cut it out. >>Cyndi: you even had another piece and you couldn't make me a nameplate while you are there? >>Dave: it's expensive stuff and hard to do. >>Cyndi: did you bring this on the plane? >>Dave: no, jeff shipped it to me. >>Cyndi: that must have cost a fortune -- >>dave: oh, wait. There's something in here. >>Cyndi: scrap metal maybe? Why do i think it won't be something nice? >>Dave: i think you'll find it lovely. >>Cyndi: oh! that is wonderful. Look! Look what i got. >>Dave: and you got a little heart. >>Cyndi: thank you! thank you, jeff. >>Dave: put yours down in front and see how it looks. >>Cyndi: i like it. It's a little higher than yours. >>Dave: you have a little heart because you don't have a "y" at the end, you have an "i." It was hard for him to do. He made it work. His true title is water jet ninja. >>Cyndi: very creative. >>Dave: thanks, guys. Just ahead on "daytime," will smith has a lot riding on how well his take as the drunken </media:text>
